Open a new document Im using 300 x 200pixels at 75dpi. |
|
| 2 |
Click on the text tool, at the top of the screen you shoud see this icon, click
on it to select it. |
 |
| 3 |
Type in the word that you want in stars, then click anywhere on the screen, you
should be faced with a selction in the shape of you word. |
 |
| 4 |
Now go to edit > fill on the top menu and choose the fill colour to be black.
|
|
| 5 |
Now apply the add noise filter.
Filters > noise > add noise.
Select
Gaussian for the distribution, also make sure that Monochromatic is checked. I
used 20% for the amount. |
 |
| 6 |
OK, now we have some text that
looks like stars but we need to give it a background, so deselect the Image (Select
> Deselect or Control + D for pc's and Apple + D for macs) and then create
a new layer.
|
|
| 7 |
Using the paint bucket fill
in the layer, and then add the noise filter to that layer just the same as in
step 5.
|
|
| 8 |
Now change the Brightness/Contrast,
image > adjust > brightness and contrast, adjusting the brightness to about
-70 and the contrast to about +55.
|
|
| 9 |
Select the layer with the text
on it and adjust the Brightness to about -20 and the contrast to about +90 by
going through the previous step again.
|
|

I
then added a Lens Flare and some extras to give this Image its final look. Play
with filters and you will be suprised by the results. |
